I'm excited to announce the release of my debut EP, This Ill Deeds!
Back in February, a week after I played in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year final, I recorded this five-track EP at Graham Rorie’s studio in Glasgow. It features the usual suspects, Megan MacDonald (accordion) and Ruairidh Gollan (fiddle), and I am really pleased to have had special guest Anna Garvin on keyboard. In April, after Scotland went into lockdown, the tracks were mastered by Chris Waite, and Graham and I got to watch over Zoom!
It was great to have had the extremely talented Orla Stevens on board to design the artwork, and you can see some of the results below.
This Ill Deeds will be available to buy directly through my website, or on my Bandcamp page. You can pre-order a copy via my Indiegogo page, and you’ll be able also stream it on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Music, and Amazon Music once it’s released on the 30th of October.
