Over the last 8 years or so, I have had the pleasure of passing on what I have learned about the guitar and the mandolin to children and adults, both privately, and through a variety of organisations.

As a student, I gained experience in group teaching through Glasgow Folk Music Workshop, and after building confidence in my teaching practice, I began taking on private students for one-to-one lessons.

Having worked as a guitar and mandolin tutor at various fèisean, including Fèis Phàislig, Fèis Arainn, and Fèis Dhùn Èideann, I devised courses and delivered tuition for Fèisean nan Gàidheal's Oide and Treòir projects.

Most recently, I joined the tutor team at Falkirk Traditional Music Project, teaching mandolin and leading the Junior Trad Band with John Somerville (Senior tutor, and founding member of Treacherous Orchestra.)

I have always found it very rewarding to help people realise their musical goals, or to witness the sense of accomplishment when they master a new technique or finish adding a new tune to their repertoire.
